Truly, Madly, Deeply...

I'm  truly, madly, deeply  in love with the printed pants these days and these neon/lime green version was a steal deal at $8.00 at the clearance rack of Target. The color is ideal for spring/summer and the print, neither the usual floral, nor paisley but a very soft and soothing  print which I'm in love with!

Tell me, are you into printed pants yet?
If so, what are your favorite prints?

Sharp 'n' Soft...

It was supposed to rain this week end too but thankfully it turned out to be bright and sunny, not so warm though.
I was out and about yesterday in this casual look- a blend of sharp 'n' soft.
This vibrant colored, soft, cotton tee and the delicate yet vibrant, red sandals have softened  the edge and sharpness of the leather jacket and the cargo pants.
This leather tote is a recent find at  T J Maxx  and is the ultimate utility bag. It is simple yet very stylish and roomy enough to serve as a travel tote and if you are scared of things falling out of it, let me tell you, it has an inside, detachable, zippered pouch to keep your belongings safe.

Hope you all had a wonderful week end!

Embrace the Lace...

Feeling very demure and lady like in this lovely lace top today.
The color is a very muted shade of blush and the material very soft and light, ideal for the spring.

One piece, More than one ways...

The yellow, cotton button-down:

Today I'm featuring the very casual, yellow, cotton button down in my 'One piece, More than one ways' section. To me, it is always very fascinating to flip through the pages of my blog and find out in how many different ways I've worn a single item of clothing! I hope you enjoy it too!

Courtly to Casual...

I'm a lover of all types of skirts, be it a swing skirt, a full skirt, a pleated skirt or a pencil skirt!
While it is so easy to create a fun, flirty look with a full skirt, a skater skirt or a pleated skirt, the pencil skirt is always a very strict, dignified, 'no-nonsense' kind of a skirt mainly used as a work wear staple.
Unfortunately, as much as I love wearing pencil skirts, I do not get enough opportunities to wear them, primarily because I do not work in a proper, 9-5, corporate environment.
The solution?
Well, I make my pencil skirts work for casual, week end wear.
Simple, by pairing it with a cotton/chambray button down, a military jacket or a denim jacket like how I'm wearing it today. Add a pair of fun flats and a cross body and you are ready to rock the week end in style.
Takes the weight off a very prim and proper pencil skirt  and makes it fun, casual wear worthy.
Transforms it from courtly to casual!

Tell me, have you ever worn pencil skirts as casual or week end wear?
