Vertical stripes...

Its Friday again and I'm a happy soul!










Not so long ago, petite little girls like myself, were told to stay away from horizontal stripes and wear vertical stripes only. Vertical stripes elongate the body and make one look longer and leaner!
Well, gone are those days!
Today, when we speak of the stripe trend, all I can see around me are horizontal stripes. Who cares if it suits one's body type or not, everyone (including myself) is happily sporting horizontal stripes.
And then I ask myself, why not? After all, fashion is all about breaking rules.

This morning, digging into my closet for something bright and colorful, I came across this old shirt and the vertical stripes took me by surprise! My eyes are so used to the horizontal stripes that the vertical ones came as a refreshing change. I just had to wear it.
