Colors of joy....

A few days back, Holi, a festival of colors, was celebrated in India (and in other parts of the world too) to rejoice the advent of spring.
After the cold and colorless winter,as mother nature dresses up in her colorful best at the onset of spring, Holi, is played with powder and liquid colors(called abir or gulal) to usher in the full bloom, happiness and joy of spring.

This post is dedicated to Holi, to spring, to life, to colors, joy and happiness and what better way to commemorate the essence of spring and Holi than a bright and colorful outfit. I literally knew no bounds while putting together this outfit! Though I'm not too fond of the fit of this dress, I kinda' made it work by adding a broad belt. Moreover, though the print of the dress is really busy, the colors are not as bright, in fact a little shabby and so, to make up for it, I've added a bright mustard bag and a very bright tangerine cardigan!

Well, I could not play with powder or liquid colors, but I sure played with colors:
colors of spring,  colors of joy,   colors of life!
