Am I really a Maxxinista?
While going through my posts, I just realized that, these days, I'm wearing more T J Maxx stuff than ever. I have never liked the idea of sticking to a particular store/brand all my life. I like to try out new things, I like variety, variety is definitely the spice of life!
Well, then I found out the reason behind it. In this tiny, little city, tucked away amidst corn fields, the options to shop are very limited. One can only dream of shopping in stores like Ann Taylor,The Limited, J.Crew, GAP, H&M and Zara! Even the nearest Forever21 and LOFT is like a good 30 minutes drive.
So, end of the day, I'm left with no other option than to shop in Old Navy, Express and T J Maxx.
Not that I don't like to shop in these stores, but honestly, I've started feeling claustrophobic.
I guess, It is just another human nature to crave for things which are out of reach!
But, for now, I'm happy being a Maxxinista!
Tell me, do you like to stick to a particular store/brand or do you like trying out new things?
shirt- Aeropostale skirt- T J Maxx clutch- Steve Madden from T J Maxx
necklace, belt and shoes- Forever21 sunnies- Kenneth Cole watch- Guess
Thanking you Yours fashionably

Loving the monochromatic blues with the hints of neon, Juneli! I think I'd cry if I only had a few stores to shop at near me but there's always online shopping :)

Can you imagine, Sharon!! Well, online shopping is an option, but its just that I'm not to comfortable buying clothes without actually trying them on!
DeleteI love Tjmaxx and marshall's! Those are two great places to look for trends without spending a lot of money! I love the blue shirt and the skirt, this is a colour that I rarely wear and I need to change it up!
ReplyDeleteI like Tjmaxx but it kinda far for me. I shop anywhere and everywhere I can clothes that fits for a good deal. I Loving the various shade of blues.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the limited stores. I spent a good 7 years in Texas before moving to New York recently, which opened a whole new world of stores for me! Regardless, you do a great job of creating varying looks and styles! :)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you are talking about as I too lived in NYC for a year! So jealous of you!
DeleteI'm like you, I don't have a whole lot of options... Added to that, I'm a true bargain shopper, so I tend to stick with Target, TJMaxx, NY&Co. We have a LOFT outlet about 45 minutes away that I really want to get to, but I just haven't had a chance!
ReplyDeleteTiffany, imagine we do not even have a NY&CO or a Macy's!
DeleteLovely!^^

Thank you so much, Anthea, and sure why not?
DeleteSticking to being a maxxinista isn't a bad thing when your outfits are this cute!
ReplyDeleteI like to wear different brands, but I find myself coming back to the same few things. I blame it on my frugal shopping ways..... I have a hard time justifying a lot of the prices at places like Zara. Boy do I wish I could shop there though!
I also feel the same way, though I'm craving for Zara and J.Crew, if those would be within reach, I don't think I would've shopped there as much!
Deletei LOVE me some TJMaxx-- their prices are insane (in a good way) & like a treasure trove-- you can always find something lovely!! i'm really loving the bright blue & orangey red together-- super pretty!
ReplyDelete& thanks so much for your comment on my blog :DD

DeleteI love all the blue with the neon yellow necklace! Such a pretty outfit :) I like shopping in different places (especially since I am lucky to have a huge mall around 12 minutes away) but recently, I have began shopping a lot more at forever 21 because my budget for clothes is getting smaller and smaller D:
