Peaches 'n' Cream...

I was a huge Barbie fan when I was a kid.Well, not really, I have to confess, the Barbie rage continued till I was in high school or even in my first year of college, basically throughout my teens! I used to collect everything related to Barbie- the dolls, accessories, rooms and houses and I remember having a Barbie named Peaches 'n' Cream. She wore the most amazing peach colored Ball room gown.

These days, I'm totally smitten by shades like peaches 'n' cream, blush, nude, caramel, vanilla and the likes.
I spotted at least one of the above-mentioned colors in my past four consecutive outfit posts.
I was just wondering if this is the wrong time to fall in love with these shades? But then again, nudes and flesh tones are considered as neutrals or almost neutrals and hence can be worn with any color and in any season.

Tell me, do you consider these colors as spring/summer colors or do you think nudes and flesh tones can be worn throughout the year?

Thanking...

I'm thankful to the lord almighty for creating this beautiful world.
I'm thankful to my parents for their unconditional love and for bringing me up the way that they did.
I'm thankful to my dear brother for his immense patience, for understanding me and for always being there for me when in need.
I'm thankful to my family for their love and support.
I'm thankful to my husband for taking care of me in every little and big way and for the love that he showers on me everyday.
I'm thankful to my friends for bringing laughter in my life and for consoling me when in tears.
I'm thankful to my readers and followers who have supported this blog through thick and thin and who have helped me take baby steps in the world of blogging.
I'm thankful to every living soul on the face of this earth for making it a better place to live in.

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

P.S. This post was originally scheduled to be published on the Thanksgiving Day, but unfortunately we had no internet connection since last Tuesday and due to the holidays, the service provider could not arrange for a technician visit! I still published it as I always believe in better late than never and also because I feel you need no occasion to be thankful for this beautiful life!

Caramel Macchiato...

I truly feel like a cup of Caramel Macchiato in these shades of chocolate, caramel, browns and nudes.
Not bad for a Monday, as I seriously need one to get back into the work mode!
The good news is that we'll have to deal with just three work days this week and I'm already in holiday mood! Yippieeee!!

Tell me about your plans for the Thanksgiving. Are you dealing with last minute preparations and fretting out or you have got everything planned and sorted out way ahead?

Today I'm linking up with  Still Being Molly   for her YOLOMondays link up.

Learning to fly...

If you have noticed, there is a plethora of dog, bird, fox, sheep, horse and other animal print sweaters in the blogging world and beyond these days.
Well, I am not a person who would follow a trend blindly but definitely am capable of being carried away once in a while. I was attracted to this bird printed sweater not so much for the print, but for the color.
Later, at home, I realized that the birds on the sweater are way too big for my petite structure! Probably they would fly better, or higher, on a taller and a broader structure.
A lesson learnt! Well, I'm still learning, learning to fly!!

Speaking of that, I'm a die-hard fan of Pink Floyd and when I started writing this blog, I thought of naming each post with their songs! Unfortunately, or fortunately, that did not happen but today one of their numbers surely made it to the post title! Don't be surprised if you see more in the coming days.

Coming back to the point, will you be wearing animal print sweaters this winter?
How do you like this one on me? Is it a keeper or not?

Now here's a plethora of questions for you all to answer!

A vintage vibe...

This J Crew vintage tweed pencil skirt is undoubtedly the best tweed skirt that I've ever laid my hands on.
The color, the texture, the fit and the feel- everything about it is just perfect.
The vintage tweed skirt, paired with this silky, floral printed, 3/4th sleeve blouse and pearl bracelets creates an undeniable vintage vibe with a modern twist.

Go country...

I had no clue that a country vibe is on my way when I started putting together this look.
Boots without leggings/tights always feels very country to me, and, to top it off, I'm wearing the classic plaid shirt! Then comes the 'not so country but so tough' elements like the aviators and the army jacket!
Over all, even though not intended, it felt very country to me.
By the way, it was so windy this Saturday that it felt like I was standing in front of a wind machine and the proof is in the pictures- my hair going haywire!
Perfect element for a country photo shoot.
Go country!!

Tell me, how would you describe a quintessential country look?

Today I'm linking up with  Still Being Molly  for her YOLOMondays link-up.

Peek-a-boo orange...

Thank god for the peek-a-boo orange and the yellow bag, otherwise I would've looked like a blob of black roaming around on the streets of  Chicago!
Also, if only I would've known it was that cold in Chicago that day, I would've layered myself more to fight the freeze.

Please excuse the wrinkles on my skirt from sitting in the car for a good four hours and the grains in the photographs, as I noticed that the husband was clicking with one hand and hence most of them are out of focus! I guess the chill made him too reluctant to make good use of the other one!

Have a great week end, my friends!

Today I'm linking up with  Two Thirty-Five Designs  for her Casual Friday Link-up.

Lucky love...

This necklace is a giveaway win from Inpink and the very lovely Lydia of  Chic on the Cheap.
Don't you just love being lucky? I mean who doesn't love getting free goodies and that too if it is this beautiful!!

I'm telling you, it is getting colder and colder here and it ain't fun posing without a jacket! So please excuse my weird postures!

Ugghhh, all these small talk is making me sick! Gosh, when I have nothing better to write , I always end up talking about the weather, and that I've heard, is so cliche and an absolute no no for a fashion blog! Oopsie!!
I'd rather stop here and let you enjoy the pictures.

Today I'm linking up with  The Pleated Poppy  for her What I Wore Wednesday.
